Abstract

Academic research has little addressed the analysis of management in companies for the LGBT+ community. This article aims to discuss the management process in companies that offer recreation and tourism services to the LGBT community in the Chapinero area, Bogotá, Colombia. LGBT tourism promotes diversity and inclusion by offering destinations and services adapted to the community’s needs and preferences. This helps create an environment where LGBT people feel welcome and respected, contributing to equal rights and the fight against discrimination. The research methodology takes a mixed approach. Interviews and surveys were conducted with employees of companies that offer services to the LGBT community in the area delimited for this research. The results show that management processes within organizations are generally perceived positively, and only a few individuals have a negative opinion about certain management aspects. Although the management processes in organizations have positive elements, the MSMEs analyzed also reveal clear improvement opportunities in each dimension.
