Religious Tourism, Islamic Religiosity, Attitudes, Intention to Revisit.Abstract
Many studies adopt the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) model, but this model has not extensively explored the intention to revisit religious tourism related to Islamic religiosity stimulation and attitudes. Attitudes toward religious tourism objects and attitudes toward visits as mediating factors for Islamic religiosity's influence on the intention to revisit have not been used in previous research using the TPB theory. The aim of this research is to examine the direct and mediating effects of attitudes toward the object and attitudes toward the visit in the relationship between Islamic religiosity and the intention to revisit religious tourism. The population in this study comprises those who intend to revisit the tombs of the Walisongo in the Javanese region. Purposive sampling was chosen as the sampling technique, and data were collected from 350 visitors to the Walisongo tombs in Java. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Model. This study found that there are direct influences among the variables. Mediating variables play a crucial role in the attitudes toward religious tourism objects and attitudes toward visits to religious tourism in the relationship between Islamic religiosity and the intention to revisit.
